Cascade (the “App”) is a juggling trainer for iPhone: a trick tree with guided lessons, a siteswap pattern animator, a practice log, and an optional camera-based catch counter. This policy explains how the App handles your information.
There are no user accounts, so we never receive your name, email address or contacts. Your practice sessions, mastered tricks, settings and the patterns you type into the animator are stored only on your iPhone and are never sent to us.
The only information that leaves the App for us is the anonymous usage data described under “Analytics” below.
If you turn on Count catches with the camera, Cascade asks for camera access and uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to follow your props and count each catch while you practise. Video frames are analysed in memory on your iPhone and immediately discarded: nothing is recorded, saved to your library, or sent anywhere. If you also turn on Say each run out loud, the count is spoken by your iPhone's built-in voice. The camera is never used unless you turn the feature on, and you can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Camera.
Cascade keeps your practice log (date, trick, duration, catch counts and best run), the tricks you have mastered, and your preferences (daily goal, prop, haptics, reminder time) on your iPhone. A small summary — for example your streak, today's minutes and the next trick to learn — is shared with Cascade's Home Screen widget through an on-device app group. None of this is synced to our servers; we do not have any.
If you turn on the daily reminder, Cascade asks for permission to send notifications and schedules them locally on your iPhone. No push server is involved, and you can switch reminders off in the App or in iOS Settings.
To learn which features are used and where people get stuck, the App sends anonymous usage signals to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service based in the EU. A signal says that something happened — for example “onboarding was completed”, “the paywall was shown”, “a practice session was logged for the 3-ball cascade”, or which of the predefined onboarding options you picked (such as your level or prop) — together with technical details such as app version, iOS version, device model and language.
Signals never contain your name, contact details, camera images, the text you type, or your practice history. Each install is identified only by a salted, one-way hash, so the data is not linked to you and cannot be used to identify you. We do not use it to track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or share it.
None. Cascade shows no ads, does not track you, and contains no advertising or crash-reporting SDKs. The only network requests the App makes are the App Store purchase requests described below and the anonymous usage signals described under “Analytics”.
Cascade Pro is a one-time purchase. Payments and restore-purchase requests are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details.
Only when you choose to. If you use Export practice log (CSV) in Settings, the file goes only where you send it through the iOS share sheet. Your iPhone's own backups (iCloud or computer) may include the App's data under your Apple settings.
You can erase your practice log and mastered tricks at any time with Settings › Reset all progress. Deleting the App removes everything the App stored on your device. Usage signals are anonymous and cannot be traced back to you, so they cannot be retrieved or deleted per person.
Cascade is a general-audience app and is not directed to children. As described above, we do not collect personal information from anyone.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, note the change in the App.
