Ohmly (the “App”) is an electrician licensing-exam preparation app for iPhone. This policy explains how the App handles your information. It is short on purpose, because Ohmly is built to keep your information on your device.
We do not run any servers and there are no user accounts, so we never receive your personal information. Everything you do in Ohmly — your practice answers, mock-exam results, readiness scores, bookmarked questions, chosen license level and jurisdiction, exam date, and app settings — is stored only in the App's local database on your iPhone.
None. Ohmly contains no analytics services, no advertising, no crash-reporting services, and no third-party software development kits. We do not track you across other apps or websites. The App's Privacy Manifest reflects this.
Ohmly Pro is a one-time purchase — never a subscription. Payments and any restore-purchase requests are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details. Your unlock status is provided by Apple’s StoreKit and mirrored only on your device.
If you report a problem with a question inside the App, that report is saved in the App’s local database on your device to help you keep track of it. It is not transmitted to us automatically. If you choose to email us about it, only the information you put in that email is shared.
It doesn’t. Apart from anything you deliberately send us by email, no data leaves your device.
Because your data lives on your device, you are in control of it. You can reset your progress inside the App, or remove everything at once by deleting the App. Uninstalling Ohmly permanently removes its on-device database from that device.
Ohmly is a general-audience study tool intended for adults preparing for a trade license, and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children — and, as described above, we do not collect personal information from anyone.
Ohmly’s questions are original study material that reference National Electrical Code® article numbers for educational purposes. Ohmly is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with, authorized, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NFPA, ICC, PSI, Prometric, or any state licensing board. “NEC” and “National Electrical Code” are registered trademarks of the NFPA.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, note the change in the App.
