Brink ("we", "the app") helps you put a time limit on the apps that eat your time: you pick the apps, set how long you're allowed in them and how long they go away afterwards, and press Start. This policy explains what data Brink handles and how.
You choose apps in Apple's own Screen Time picker, which runs outside Brink. Apple gives Brink opaque tokens in return, not app names, so Brink cannot see which apps you picked, what you do in them, or anything else you do on your phone. Blocking is carried out by iOS (Screen Time / Family Controls) on your device.
The screen-time figures Brink shows (the counter on the main screen and the weekly chart) are drawn by Apple inside a sandboxed system extension. Those numbers never reach the Brink app itself, and never leave your device. Brink has no browsing data and no screen recording.
Your blocks (names, timer lengths, schedules, settings), the state of the running timers, and simple daily counts (for example how many times a block landed or how often a blocked app was reached for) are stored only on your iPhone, in storage shared between Brink and its own widget and extensions. There is no Brink account and no Brink server, and none of this is uploaded or synced to us.
Alarms and reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. Widgets, Live Activities, Shortcuts and Focus filters run on your device too.
To learn which features are used and where people get stuck, Brink sends anonymous usage signals to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. A signal says things like "a session started", "a block landed", "the paywall was shown" or "Settings was opened", together with coarse context such as how many blocks you have, the timer lengths, whether Screen Time and notification permission are on, whether you have Brink Pro, and yesterday's daily counts.
Signals never contain which apps you block (Brink doesn't know), your screen-time figures, your name, your email, your location or an advertising identifier. TelemetryDeck receives only a salted, one-way hash generated on your device, so signals are not linked to you and are not used to track you across apps or websites.
Brink Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive only the purchase status needed to unlock Pro; we never see your payment details or Apple ID.
Brink is a general-audience app for limiting your own phone use. It is not a parental-control app and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
